Duties include: Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of a variety of laboratory equipment and systems such as incubators, freezers/refrigerators, chillers, centrifuges etc.
Position requires: Knowledge of principles and theories of refrigeration cycle, temperature measurement and properties of refrigerant. Experience in electrical testing skill in dismantling, repairing and reassembling pumps, compressors, chillers, receivers and evaporators.
Candidate must be well organized, excellent customer service skills; self- motivated and have previous field service experience. Candidate will be responsible for documentation, assigned tools, standards and maintaining work schedule to meet company goals. Qualified candidate will undergo a 90 day training period. Job Description: Field Service Engineer is responsible for on-site troubleshooting, repair, planned maintenance, routine and complex work related to the repair, calibration, support and installation of various mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic units, laboratory instrumentation, test, measurement and diagnostic equipment. Our Calibration/Metrology Services include Temperature, Pressure/Vacuum, pH, Conductivity/Resistivity, Scales and Balances, Chart Recorders, Humidity, Incubation and Stability Chambers, Centrifuges and much more.Additional responsibilities include coordinating schedule with both service coordinator and customers, care of assigned standards, tools and vehicle, and providing our customers with uncompromised quality of service.
Position requires: All candidates must be able to work independently and without close supervision and must pro-actively interact and communicate with customers on a daily basis. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Proficiency in computers and windows software is a must. Candidates must be detail oriented, highly organized, self-motivated and have the ability to handle multiple and changing priorities. Capability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, safely, is required.Must have a clean driving record. Must be able to travel to customer sites, requiring flexible hours and ability to travel every day (mostly local). Assigned services will be performed at multiple site locations, including, but not limited to: hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical production facilities, animal research centers. May be subject to customer drug testing, customer specific safety training, or customer SOP training.Desired Skills & Experience: The successful candidate should have at least two years of experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Medical Device industry and experience with cGMP, ISO requirements. Candidates must have strong technical and troubleshooting to be capable of prompt identification of system problems and utilize all available resources to affect timely resolutions, using a multitude of testing instruments.
